T Minus 8 Days

I finished wrapping and securing my bike in it's box (donated by The Bike Cellar) for the journey to Scotland at 2am this morning, ready for the courier. Bit of a shame he turned up in the afternoon but I knew if I didn't get it done last night then we would have been the first pick-up...

Anyway, they are on their way and there isn't much left to do now in preparation except try and reduce my luggage a bit. Apparently the next two weeks are going to be a bit of an Indian Summer, so hopefully I can ditch some of the waterproof gear. Of course if I don't take the waterproofs and cold weather gear I'm certain that the next two weeks are going to be very cold and very wet... Still, we'll just have to cycle faster to keep warm and we can pick up waterproofs on route if needed.
